Thermaltake offre toutefois une fonctionnalité très intéressante qui se distingue des modules ennuyants habituels: la possibilité d'y brancher uniquement les câbles dont on a besoin. Fini les boîtiers encombrés!

Overall, the Thermaltake Toughpower 850W was an excellent power supply. The silence of the 140mm fan is great, I could barely even hear the Toughpower during average load of my system. Lastly, the performance is solid; Thermaltake rates this power supply at +/-3% and it does keep within that range in realworld performance.

The Thermaltake Toughpower 850w just could not do a thing wrong, as it worked flawlessly throughout the testing phase. This makes the Toughpower 850w an ideal product for those building gaming systems with the fastest available components. It has proven to be more than capable of supporting an SLI GeForce 8800 GTX system with more than enough juice (this PSU is actually NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFire certified). The power supply also worked flawlessly in an AMD Athlon64 5200+ system, coupled with the same SLI GeForce 8800 GTX configuration.

f you are in the market for a power supply in the 650~1200 watt range, one of the new Thermaltake Toughpower units deserve a close look. The 850W model exhibited very good voltage regulation and stability along with excellent efficiency. Active PFC, modular sleeved cables, and a 5-year warranty are all nice to have.

To recap, get be quiet! Dark Power PRO 850W if you're looking for a power supply that will handle next generation components with bells and whistles on top of it. If you want to go cheaper without the need for all these nonessential features and enhancements, get Thermaltake Toughpower 850W with 140 mm fan which runs quieter than its contender and performs just as well.
